Fine Dining in Prague at Bricks

Looking for a lovely restaurant to impress your partner/companions or family while in Prague? While I'm sure there are many, but the one I enjoyed was listed as an Italian restaurant called Brick's Terrace and Bar.

It was Christmas day and the restaurant choices were very limited, but as luck would have it, one of our choices was Brick's Terrace and Bar. We got ourselves a reservation and hoped it would be ok.

We arranged an Uber from the hotel and went off into the unknown.

Upon arrival, we were greeted and taken to our table. A charming restaurant with a lot more room inside than you might expect. The outdoor area though. Well, let me explain. While we were in Prague for Christmas it was a tad bit too cool for outdoor dining which was a bit unfortunate. The outdoor area is immediately adjacent to the river Vltava. The view at night is magical. The view of the oldest bridge in Prague, the Charles Bridge built in 1402. As the only means of crossing the river Vltava until 1841, Charles Bridge was the most important connection between Prague Castle and the city's Old Town and adjacent areas. This land connection made Prague important as a trade route between Eastern and Western Europe. And let me say it is a spectacular view.

How amazing it would be to eat out on the patio on a warmer night and truly be able to take in all that history.

Adding to the lovely setting was our waitress, Natalia, who was not only fully conversational in English but a handful of other languages as well as doing a wonderful job taking good care of us.

The food selection was good and what we ordered was delicious.

We really enjoyed our romantic evening at Bricks in Prague and would highly recommend it as a place to get a great meal at a reasonable price.

Cheers to lovely meals around the world.
